About the Cereal
General Mills has several different "bursts" of Cheerios, from Yogurt to Banana-Nut (nut is such a dirty word). Recently they decided to add Cinnamon to the bunch, it was brought to my attention by one of my oh so loyal readers. Me being the Cereal Killer I am, I decided to look them up, instantly intrigued, and knew I had to pick up a box to review for you fine folks. The Good
- It doesnt taste like plain cheerios with cinnamon dumped on them, they are actually sweeter than I thought.
- It has that patented Cheerios crunch (the crunch that makes your tongue go "WEEEEE")
- 20% Fiber!!
The Bad
- Though it is sweeter than I originally thought, Its still not sweet enough for me
- The "20% Fiber" graphic plastered on the front makes me feel old
- Milk aftermath was very disappointing
Wrap Up
Over all, General Mill's Cinnamon Burst Cheerios, isn't that bad. I have a lot of issues with it, for example, the way it starts to taste stale once that Cinnaburst becomes burstless after its been in milk for more than 5 minutes. I believe its one of those cereals you have to have a cinna-crave for in order to really enjoy it. I havent seen any commercials for it, my beloved dear loyal reader has, I dont think its marketed toward youngings, so dont expect it to have a Cinnamon Toast Crunch taste to it. Bottom Line, CinnaBurst Cheerios gets 3 bowls out of 5, I think I will enjoy it more if I mix it with my Honey Nut (ew, that word again) Cheerios, but I definitely recommend giving this cereal a try.
Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteThis is the only flavor of Cheerios I actually like! Never can find them though as they are always sold out.
